NBA 2K22 is now available for purchase on both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, we did not receive a Prelude this year, which would have allowed us to jump in early and get a head start on our MyPlayer builds, but we now have the game and can begin building our NBA superstars. It will be discussed in this guide how to create a LeBron James build in NBA 2K22.
Creating a LeBron James build has always been a difficult task, and NBA 2K22 is no exception, especially considering how the attribute and build components have been altered this year, as previously stated. You can't have a high perimeter defense rating and not have automatic distribution of points to the Steal attribute, and you can't have a high steal rating and not have automatic distribution of points to the Steal attribute. There's also a greater overall weighting on specific attributes relative to related attributes elsewhere in the build.
This change makes things more difficult because you may choose to concentrate on certain characteristics and then notice that other characteristics increase or decrease automatically as a result of your efforts. In NBA 2K22, this has resulted in a great deal of trial and error: it took me 30 (yes, thirty) different tries before I was able to nail down a Lebron James build.
Let's break it down and go over each step one by one.
Configuration of the body
For our MyPlayer build vitals, we want our player to be a Small Forward, which means that the player immediately following him should be a Small Forward.
Height, weight, wingspan, and body shape all have an impact on this, as they can alter the distribution of attribute points across the body.
The following measurements: Height: 6'9" Weight: 250 lbs Wingspan: 6'11"
Body Type: Physical Characteristics
Let's take a look at how many attribute points were spent.
This took a long time to perfect because, as you'll see, changing certain attributes causes points to be spent automatically in other areas.
Due to the fact that I was going after a Slashing Playmaker, I experimented with several different Takeovers.
However, as a result of this, I kept ending up with different player builds, forcing me to make a more refined assessment of LeBron's performance in 2021. What I discovered was that the team performed better when he was on the court (which was unsurprising), and his shooting range had significantly improved. Consequently, I chose Team Ratings Boost and Limitless Range as my options.
And with that, we've completed our NBA 2K22 LeBron James build, which is now ready for MyCareer play!
